COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a study of the practical side of a minister’s life and duties.

Program Objectives and Related Specific Objectives

 Cognitive:

1. To understand the depth of the life and work of the minister; the call, preparation, character, and various relationships to home, church, and community and to lay a sound foundation of pastoral ministry that will facilitate the prospective minister.
2. To understand the principles of Christian leadership and the Biblical teaching on pastoral ministry.
3. To understand the role of Pastor within the five-fold ministry.

Performance:

1. To be able to perform the various duties of a pastor.

   

2. To be able to encourage a congregation to accept and pursue the five-fold ministry in the local church.
3. To be able to develop teaching and preaching outlines on the five-fold ministry.

Instructional/Learning Activities:

1. The textbook(s) must be read in its entirety.
2. The student will outline each chapter along with their summarization of the content they learned in their student journal.
3. The student will watch each of the videos in the series. 
4. The student will complete the final exam with  80% percent correct or higher.
